Job Description:
Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is
looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic Refrigeration Technician to
join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is crucial in
ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our fleet,
specializing in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration units
on diesel trucks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in
upholding Ryder's commitment to innovation and efficiency,
contributing directly to the smooth operation of our logistics and
transportation services. Perform routine maintenance and emergency
repairs on diesel engine systems and refrigeration units. Diagnose
and repair electrical and mechanical issues associated with
refrigeration units and related components of the diesel trucks.
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and maintain a clean
and safe working environment. Keep detailed records of serviced
vehicles and report any major issues to management for further
actions. Assist in the preparation of maintenance logs and
inventory report of parts and supplies. Continuously update job
knowledge through ongoing technical training provided by Ryder and
other sources. In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and
refrigeration systems. Experience with diagnostic tools and
equipment for troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and
manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and
attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k EPA Section 608 Certification - Type II or Universal
preferred. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or
certification as a Diesel Mechanic.
