Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and peripheral bypasses. - Collaborate with surgeons, scrub techs, and other staff to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures. - Utilize standard OR equipment and document patient care accurately using Meditech software. - Follow unit specific policies and maintain compliance with hospital guidelines. - Participate in scheduling including Monday through Friday shifts, on-call duties, and rotating weekends and holidays. - Support additional areas such as the cath lab or main OR as needed. - Maintain certifications and demonstrate adherence to safety and quality standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active RN licensure with previous CVOR experience. - Strong technical skills in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures, including CABG and valve replacements. - BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. - Ability to perform efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments with minimal case delays. - Excellent patient care and communication skills. - Familiarity with surgical unit protocols and teamwork in the operating room.
