Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a
board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join its Core
Faculty. This position blends clinical responsibilities with a
strong academic focus, offering the opportunity to impact resident
education, participate in curriculum development, and shape the
future of psychiatric care through mentorship and leadership.
Position Highlights: Core Faculty appointment with an affiliated
medical school ACGME-accredited program with 32 psychiatry
residents Department features include: 33-bed inpatient psychiatric
unit Consultation liaison service Intensive Outpatient Program
(IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Electroconvulsive
Therapy (ECT) services Primary clinical focus on inpatient consults
and IOP care Facility is a designated Baker Act Receiving Center ,
accepting both voluntary and direct admissions 24/7 resident
coverage for consults, admissions, and emergency evaluations Call
rotation is 1:5 , supervising 3–4 residents per shift Active
involvement in didactic instruction, supervision, and scholarly
activities Ideal for psychiatrists with a passion for teaching— new
