Mayo Clinic is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in our mission to provide expert, comprehensive care by ensuring all medical and surgical supplies and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for medical procedures. As part of our nonprofit organization, you will contribute to an integrated clinical practice focused on meeting the health needs of individuals. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization to support patient safety and care. Operate and maintain all sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers. Inspect, clean, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment. Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and health and safety protocols. Keep accurate records of equipment sterilized. Monitor inventory and replenish supplies as needed. Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry practices. Knowledge of sterilization practices and procedures Ability to operate sterilizing equipment Strong organizational and observational skills Proficiency in following detailed instructions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) preferred.
