Classification Title: Optometrist (Assistant/Associate In) Job
Description: The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of
Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at
the rank of Assistant In or Associate In as a Doctor of Optometry
(OD) to provide patient care and education in an expanding academic
practice. There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy
tertiary clinical practice in an established longstanding
department with a brand new, state of the art clinic and optical

Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with
credentials and experience. The College of Medicine has a
competitive faculty compensation plan, which includes incentives

Minimum Requirements: Requirements include completion of an
approved accredited school or college of optometry. Must obtain
and/or maintain a current Florida optometric license. Must be able
to obtain medical staff credentialing with UF Health facilities as
well as qualify for enrollment with third party billing entities.
Preferred Qualifications: Qualifications, in addition to clinical
expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching, resident
training, and research as well as participation in academic
activities. Incumbent will provide patient care services within UF
Health facilities and affiliated locations. Special Instructions to
