Classification Title: Cornea Specialist (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) Job Description: The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Cornea and External Diseases to expand our academic practice. There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice in an established longstanding department with a brand new, state-of-the-art clinic and surgery center. Expected Salary: $260-285k; Commensurate based on rank and experience with an excellent benefits package. Minimum Requirements: Requirements include completion of an ACGME approved ophthalmology residency program as well as a postgraduate fellowship training in cornea and external diseases. Board certification or eligibility and licensure (or eligibility) to practice medicine in Florida are prerequisites. Preferred Qualifications: Qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching, resident training, and research as well as participation in academic activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills are important.
