a responsible energy economy. Summary Objective Summary for job
role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material
Planner to manage the timely and efficient procurement, scheduling,
and availability of materials necessary for production. This role
is critical in ensuring seamless operations, minimizing inventory
costs, and preventing supply chain disruptions. The Material
Planner will work closely with internal departments, suppliers,
purchasing teams, warehouse staff, and production planners to
maintain optimal inventory levels while meeting customer demand and
production schedules. Essential Functions Assist in development of
part requirements for cataloging materials based on category for
BOM input and future state projects. Create process maps for supply
chain counterparts for material flow process on vendor parts,
current inventory. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the
material flow chart to align with inter-company customer needs.
Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) Inventory Module to set up and manage
parts and materials, ensuring accurate data entry and system
integrity. Maintain and update the material master database to
support efficient inventory tracking, procurement, and reporting.
Develop essential inputs to effectively manage the inventory
database, including consumption reports, lead time analyses, and
business development metrics. Facilitate the transition and support
for the JDE inventory module. Review and create OneView reporting
procedures to capture JDE reporting modules for vendor KPI’s.
On-time delivery, inventory turnover Basic navigation and functions
within inventory and material modules. Understanding inventory
classifications for material breakdown within MRP. Safety stock
calculations and reorder point management. Managing inventory
turnover and avoiding overstock/stockouts. Overview of RFID/RF
Smart technology and its application in inventory tracking. Best
practices for integrating technology with manual processes. Monitor
inventory levels, analyze demand forecasts, and adjust material
requirements as needed. Track and report on supplier performance,
inventory transactions, and material flow using ERP/MRP systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory
accuracy, reduce waste, and optimize planning processes. General
and initial training review of material parts requirements needed
to maintain consistency and overall unison in part setup.

ideal candidate will have: Hands-on experience with JD Edwards
(JDE) Inventory Module for part setup and material management.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid
understanding of supply chain principles are essential. Experience
with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and production planning
is highly preferred. The ability to problem-solve, work
cross-functionally, and adapt to dynamic manufacturing or
distribution environments will be key to success in this role.
ERP/MRP Expertise: Strong proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) Inventory
Module and other ERP/MRP systems for inventory and material
planning. Data Analysis & Forecasting: Ability to analyze demand
trends, adjust planning strategies, and generate reports to support
decision-making. Inventory Optimization: Skilled in maintaining
optimal stock levels, reducing excess inventory, and preventing
shortages. Supply Chain Coordination: Proven ability to work with
suppliers, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely
material availability. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong
critical-thinking skills to identify supply chain risks and develop
effective solutions. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent
verbal and written communication skills to work across departments
and with external partners. Process Improvement: Experience
implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
in inventory management and material planning. Attention to Detail:
Highly organized with a strong ability to manage complex data,
material records, and supplier documentation. Time Management:
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet
deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Work
Location This position will work out of our Jacksonville, Fl
Distribution Center. This position is not approved for
telecommuting or working remotely. Work Environment Most work is
performed in an office environment. Regular trips to SEA
Fabrication Shop for observation and research are required.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is
required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with
hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally
required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move
objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to
25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to
adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a
full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through
Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travel Anticipated up to 15% travel for
this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be
necessary. Occasional travel to customer job sites and conferences
may be required. Required Education and Experience. Required
education and experience to be successful in position. Bachelor’s
degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
Intermediate to Advanced in Microsoft Office and Excel Skills 3-4
years related experience preferred Excellent communication skills,
both oral and written. Preferred Education and Experience Education
and experience that is above and required to be successful in
position. Proven experience in material planning, supply chain
analytics, and inventory management within a manufacturing
environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills – Experienced in data
analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting. JD
Edwards (JDE) experience is a major key experience for this
position. Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast
demand and optimize inventory levels. Additional Eligibility
Qualifications other qualifications needed. Experience with ERP
systems and procurement processes. Ability to build and maintain
strong supplier relationships while driving cost efficiencies.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving
supply chain challenges. Ability to prioritize and multitask while
maintaining a positive and professional demeanor will be required
in this challenging fast-paced environment Strong organizational
skills and attention to detail is required Work Authorization Must
