Requisition No:333483Agency: Department of HealthWorking Title: PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITIONIST - 64084421Position Number:64084421Salary: $25,774.06- $45,000.00Posting Closing Date: 10/21/2021REQUIREMENTS The incumbent, an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County, works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts. This position requires that you are a Registered Dietitian or a Licensed Dietitian in the State of Florida. Must have experience in Nutritional Counseling. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience working with the WIC Program, Community Programs, in Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Teams and with Customer Service Skills. Prefer bilingual individuals. This position will be knowledgeable about current nutrition practices, therapy modalities and client education that are relevant to nutrition and disease. Communicate effectively with others verbally and written. Certifies clients for participation in the WIC Program. Develops, monitors and revises Nutrition Education plans for individual clients determined medically high risk. Documents in FL Wise according to established policies and procedures. Provides nutrition education via the monthly WIC Nutrition newsletter. Documents services in FL Wise using SOAP charting method. Monitors and follows protocols for nutrition assessment and follows up for high risk WIC Clients. Participates in breastfeeding promotion. Performs anthropometrics and hemoglobin measurements for clients. All other related duties as assigned. All applications must be completed online through People First.
