JOB SUMMARY The Quality Inspector will perform inspections of incoming materials, parts, and finished products to ensure all products meet quality standards. REPORTING TO Quality Manager ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Inspect in process and finished product mechanically or visually according to drawing and complying to GD&T requirements Review incoming materials for conformity to drawing via AQL Accurately document the results of inspection and testing results. Maintain all controlled document files of the inspections and testing results. Evaluate problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions. Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation. Document, develop and maintain calibration system, procedures and records. Any other duties as assigned by the Manager. SKILLS and ABILITIES Good written and verbal communication skills. Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work. Ability to read, interpret and apply machining drawings, GD&T, and specifications to the inspection process Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 management systems. AS9102 FAI inspection preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written communications. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED equivalent required. At least two (2) years of experience in a quality position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection equipment.
