Job Description:

Welders employed at Veritas Steel are responsible for performing FCAW & SMAW processes to codes, standards, including repairs and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Shop Supervisor. They must be able to meet high production demands in a timely manner and complete high quality work with expertise. Welders must also adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment.Principle Duties and Responsibilities Uses proper safety equipment to ensure surfaces are adequately prepared for all operations:Air arc, Grove Welds, Flex Core, Full PinUsing correct procedures to obtain proper weld profile, etc.,Understands general knowledge of welding codes and welding toolsProper preparation, cleaning, setupHand torch - setup and useUnderstand basic weld symbols/gaugesMaintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety Coordinates with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defectsAdheres to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and surrounding coworkers PI207536327
