CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR



Creative Management Technology, Inc. (CMTI) is seeking an experienced construction estimator to support bid preparation of aviation and transportation civil and utility projects in the Orlando area. CMTI is a national company with a 35-year track record of success on large institutional and commercial contracts.



We are currently expanding project activities with clients such as the Orlando Airport Authority, the Florida Department of Transportation, and Brightline. The successful candidate will play a key role in the growth and development of the company's construction expertise and will join an existing staff of highly trained engineers, technicians, and field personnel.



Roles and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Analyze drawings and specifications.
  
• Understand contractual terms and conditions.
  
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals promptly for Stipulated Price, Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management formatted projects.
  
• Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs.
  
• Organizes sub-contractor quotations negotiates to ensure quotes meet contract documents, and issues properly documented purchase orders.
  
• Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same. Monitor progress, requisition change orders, and identify any potential risks.
  
• Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
  
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.
  
• Formulate cost breakdown from estimates and for project progress.
  
• Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
  
  
  Qualifications and Experience
  
  
  • 
    
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience estimating construction projects from $5 million to $50 million range.
    
  • Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
    
  • Ability to use CAD programs.
    
  • Exceptional communication skills.
    
  • Graduating from recognized engineering, architectural, or construction management program is an asset.
